Long Beach
Long Beach has its name for good reason, with 14km it's the longest beach in the Philippines and has some of the finest sand. It’s still quite off the beaten track, there’s accommodation scattered along the beach, but barely any people to find. I only stayed here overnight and drove on my motorbike 120km south of El Nido to reach it. It is very unfortunate that the beach is home to many sandflies who will eat you alive, as they did with me. I brought only the essentials and didn’t think of bringing any repellant. The water is very shallow here, so swimming isn’t very ideal, but that’s the case at many locations in the country. Read more about it on my blog and view my drone video at the Video section.
